PC/104 power supply withstands automotive shocks
- Ultra Low-Cost supplying +5V & ±12V to the PC/104 bus.
Available from Micro Technic, the Micronix PV-5120A is a competitively priced high-efficiency PC/104 bus DC/DC converter rated for up to 30W output.
The power supply is specified to withstand extended temperatures and the shock and vibration of mobile equipment, making it ideal for embedded, vehicular and PC/104 Machine control systems.
The PV-5120A has a wide 14-30V DC input range, and produces clean and filtered outputs of +5 and +/-12V.
Maximum ripple and noise are specified at 150mV.
The supply features a low quiescent current and can be operated at efficiencies up to 85%.
The converter is supplied in a compact 95 x 90mm open-frame PCB outline with a maximum height of 14.4mm for its integral heat sink. Operating temperature range is a wide -20 to + 70C.
The PV-5120A is designed as a low-cost alternative to the Micronix PV-5124 series, which also incorporates Flash disk, UPS and battery charger function.
