Hello, I'm Roger Arrick, the creator and editor of Controlled.com.
This all may look like a giant corporation but really it's just me, a few computers, a great ISP, and a fat juicy T1 line.
As a robotics engineer, I'm constantly on the lookout for cool products and new technologies.
Back in 1994 when the internet started getting popular, I decided to take all that information I had collected over the years and publish it.
The result is Controlled.com with all its product and vendor information.
Since then, Controlled.com has directed thousands of customers to
vendors of embedded computing products and made life a little easier and a little more fun for everyone.
It's important to me to keep the value of advertising at Controlled.com very high and to keep the clutter low so engineers can find what they need fast.
I do this by making Controlled.com a part-time venture and I intend to keep it that way.
Other internet publishing ventures that are stacked with layers of
management and old-school ideas have to charge much more for the same service and I'm afraid their days are numbered.
I plan to keep Controlled.com fun and successful for my benefit, my customers, and my readers.
Here's a picture of me at work in my futuristic office.
